What we're looking for

We’re seeking a passionate and proactive community support specialist to actively engage with the Rocket.Chat and Rock RMS ecosystems. In this role, you'll provide hands-on support and strategic guidance to churches and ministries by helping them identify, implement, and optimize technology solutions that align with their goals. You’ll work collaboratively with our Support team identifying areas for improved participation in the Rock community, uncovering missed opportunities, and ensuring ministries are equipped with the right digital tools for their mission.

To be successful in this role, a skilled and service-minded Community Support Specialist will support churches and ministries using Rock RMS. This role is all about solving problems, answering questions, and providing clear, reliable guidance in community chat channels and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Quickly and Efficiently Respond to Questions in Rocket.Chat
    • participate daily in the Rocket.Chat community and answer questions quickly and efficiently.
  • Identify and Escalate My Well Specific Issues to the Support Team
    • When My Well specific issues arise in Rocket.Chat or other Rock forums, escalate those to the My Well team and follow up for resolution.
  • Participate in the greater Rock RMS ecosystem
    • The Rock community has Q&A forums, Recipes, quarterly meetings and more. Actively participating in all aspects of the community.
  • Identify areas of growth for My Well in the Rock community.
    • Look for opportunities to increase My Well’s support and engagement with the Rock community through new avenues.
  • Lead quarterly webinars
    • Work with the Support team to host quarterly webinars for My Well Rock churches and other Rock churches.
  • Create Helpful Documentation
    • Document My Well reports and other solutions for Rock recipes and the My Well Help Center.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally
    • Work closely with internal teams to improve support for Rock churches.
  • Spot and Act on Growth Opportunities
    • Proactively identify overlooked opportunities to improve system efficiency, drive outreach, and optimize ministry engagement.
    • Assist the Consulting team on collecting information on new churches coming to Rock and potential leads.
  • Provide Clear, Purpose-Driven Guidance
    • Offer clear, accessible explanations of technical concepts to empower churches and ministries in their decision-making.
  • Stay Informed and Innovative
    • Continuously learn about new Rock updates and releases, new technology, CRM advancements, and data management practices to keep our solutions cutting-edge and mission-driven.

Qualifications

  • 3 years Rock RMS experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor Degree in S.T.E.M. related areas.
  • Experience with SQL or other standard database languages.
  • Understanding and willingness to learn programming languages.
  • Strong self-motivation.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Bonus if you have experience in:
    • HTML, CSS, Javascript, and/or Python
